AS IT IS / AS IT WAS
this series is meant to push and pull the present and the past; the dichotomy of rebuilding trust in romantic partners but still replaying the one you keep trying to forget. Six images that make use of overlaying and intimate lighting to create scenes that appear romantic at first glance, but reveal a more hostile depiction the longer viewers sit with them. These images are the two dimensional recreation of craving intimacy, but constantly finding oneself petrified of betrayal and violation.
